Day 1 (Saturday):

Meet at the hotel in Genoa where you can assemble your bikes and make any last minute purchases. Possibility to rent mountain bikes in Finale Ligure (20mins away)

Day 2 (Sunday):

We will leave the hotel for our first 1000m climb towards the mountains overlooking Genoa, from here we will join the Alta Via itinerary and attack our first Italian trail. A succession of climbs and fun descents will bring us to Finale Ligure via a superb final descent to the sea!
Overnight in Finale Ligure.
Distance: 55km
Positive climb: 1600m

Day 3 (Monday):

Our shuttle will take us up to a NATO base, the highest peak of Finale Ligure, from here you can see the Alps from the Matterhorn to the south of the Gulf of Genoa and on to Corsica! We will join the Alta Via in the direction of the Monte Carmo (approx 15min hike-a-bike) for a fantastique view and a 1400m singletrack descent finishing at the sea again! Our shuttle will take us back to the hotel bar in Garessio a superb small medieval village with incredible charm.

Day 4 (Tuesday):

From Garessio we will climb by road to the San Bernardo pass and onwards towards the Monte Galero, contouring it with approximately a 40min hike-a-bike section with alternating rolling sections. The view is immense and the spot very wild.
The singletrack on the ridge is superb with some very short hike-a-bike sections to arrive at Colle di Nava.
A varied descent takes us into the valley of Arroscia. From here our shuttle will drop us to the pass overlooking the Argentina valley and the village of Molini di Triora! An incredible descent awaits us leading to Molini where we will sleep the night in the only hotel in the village. *warning dinner is a food orgy!!

Day 5 (Wednesday):

A rest day for your thighs but certainly not for your arms and your brakes!! The Argentina valley is a wild treasure trove with dozens of natural paths hundreds of years old! Riding here is riding in the footsteps of generations of mountain farmers, hunters, and smugglers between France and Italy. This network of trails have been fashioned and maintained creating Enduro biker happiness!
Our shuttle will drop us relentlessly back to the top to explore the wonders and richness of this valley in Enduro mode!
Overnight in Molini di Triora.

Day 6 (Thursday):

We will leave Molini by shuttle to the Alavena refuge and rejoin the official Alta Via trail, from here alpine becomes ‘really alpine’ with passes over 2000m. The singletrack follows the French-Italian border, slaloming between France and Italy via a former, wild, little used military road. A real delight!!
The alternation between rolling and more technical sections make for real mountain bike pleasure. Passing along ridge lines offering breathtaking views simultaneously of the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, arrive directly at Ventimiglia!
From here shuttle transfer to Finale Ligure. Overnight in Finale Ligure.
Distance: 50km
Positive climb: 1200m

Day 7 (Friday):

The last day will be the cherry on the cake! A day of pure Italian Enduro with shuttle drops, a full on mountain bike party on Finale Ligure's countless singletracks. Mixing flowy paths to technical singletrack, you will have everything you ever wished for in Finale Ligure!
A rewarding day after all your hard work!!
For this day of riding, it is possible to rent a full face helmet and protection clothing, approximately 25€ for the day.

Overnight in Finale Ligure.

Day 8 (Saturday): End of tour and transfer to Genoa airport (only)

Liguria is the region situated on the Mediterranean west coast of Italy between Ventimiglia and Genova.\r\n\r\nIts hilly terrain, old villages perched on mountain slopes where time seems to have stopped and its ancient paths make it a paradise for mountain biking with a sea view!\r\n\r\nTraversing the Ligurian Alps you will discover the richness of this region, now mythical thanks to the Finale Ligure Enduro World Series.\r\n\r\nCombining a mix of All Mountain and Enduro biking using shuttle buses, the Alta Via is a little treasure we have discovered, ridden within an inch of its life and now we offer you exclusively!\r\n\r\nStarting from Genoa we will reach the ridgeline of Liguria passing through the hills of Finale Ligure, continuing on this wild itinerary to the French border where we will head south to the Mediterranean Sea discovering many beautiful descents on Liguria’s secret Enduro trails down to the sea!! A shuttle will take us back to our accommodation after a good cold beer on the waterside and why not a swim in the sea!\r\n\r\nWe’ve included 2 days of 100% ENDURO. Wednesday at Molini di Triora and the last day at Finale Ligure. With all day shuttle drops you can ride until your tyres are worn slick, your brake pads are completely burnt and you can no longer grip the handlebar!\r\n\r\nLa Ligurie est la region situee sur la cote ouest mediterranéenne de l'Italie entre Vingtimille et Genes.\r\nSon relief collinnéen , ses vieux villages en pierre perches a flanc de montagne ou le temps semble s'etre arrete et ses chemins pluricentenaires en font un paradis du VTT avec vue sur mer !\r\n\r\nCette traversee des Alpes Ligurienne vous fera decouvrir toute la richesse de cette region devenue mythique grâce aux Enduro World Series de Finale Ligure.\r\n\r\nAlliant un mix de All Mountain et d' Enduro avec des navettes , l'Alta Via est un petit tresor meconnu que nous avons decouvert, defriche et que nous vous proposons en exclusivite !\r\n\r\nAu depart de Genova , nous rallierons les cretes de la Ligurie en passant par les hauteurs de Finale Ligure, pour continuer sur cet itineraire sauvage jusqu a la frontiere francaise que nous longerons direction le sud jusqu'à la mer mediterrannee, le tout agremente de plusieurs descentes Enduro jusqu'à la mer dont la Ligurie a le secret !! Une navette nous remontera vers notre logement apres avoir bien sur bu une bonne biere fraiche au bord de l'eau et pourquoi pas une baignade dans la mer ! \r\n\r\nNous vous reservons deux journees 100% ENDURO le mercredi a Molini di Triora et le dernier jour a Finale Ligure avec remontees en navettes pour des descentes de folies toute la journee jusqu' a ce que vos pneus soient uses jusqu' a la corde , jusqu 'a ce que vos plaquettes de freins soient totalement brulees, jusqu 'a ce que vous ne puissiez plus tenir votre guidon !! \r\n

This tour is classed Level 3 out of 5, both physically and technically.\r\nWhat you need for Level 3…\r\n\r\n*Physical: \r\nYou are a mountain bike enthusiast. You ride 3-4 times a week for at least 90mins each time. You are able to ride at a high pace for short periods (15 mins) and are able to withstand anaerobic stress for 3-5 minutes. You can ride more than 4 hours in endurance and climb 1000m per day over 5-6 days. Pushing or carrying your bike for 10-15 minutes does not frighten you!\r\n\r\n*Technical:\r\nYou have experience and have already ridden many different terrains (wet or muddy soil, roots, stones, tight corners and hairpin bends…) You enjoy singletracks and a challenge. You are capable of hairpin turns on a singletrack and would like to progress. Riding with a steep slope on the side does not scare you.\r\n\r\nFor your comfort and enjoyment, a mountain bike with at least a front suspension is strongly recommended, if you have full suspension you will be in heaven!\r\n\r\nCe séjour est de niveau 3 sur 5 , autant physiquement que techniquement.\r\nVoici à quoi correspond le niveau 3 :\r\n\r\n * Physiquement : \r\nVous êtes un (une) passionné( e)de VTT. Vous roulez 3 a 4 fois par semaine pendant au moins 1h30. Vous êtes capable de rouler a rythme élevé pendant de courtes périodes ( 15 minutes) et êtes capable de fournir un effort anaérobie pendant 3 a 5 minutes. Vous pouvez rouler plus de 4 heures en endurance et grimper 1000 mètres de dénivelé positif par jour sur 5-6 jours. Pousser ou porter le vélo pendant 10 a 15 minutes ne vous effraie pas.\r\n\r\n* Techniquement :\r\nVous avez de l'expérience et avez déjà roulé dans différentes situations ( sol mouillé ou boueux, racines, pierres, virages serrés..) Vous appréciez les singletrack pentus et le challenge. Vous êtes capable de passer des virages en épingle sur un singletrack et aimeriez progresser. Rouler avec de la pente sur le coté ne vous fait pas peur.\r\n\r\nPour votre confort et votre récupération, un VTT avec au moins une suspension avant est vivement conseillé, si vous avez un tout suspendu c’est le pied !\r\n

You have the choice to either arrive in Nice (France) or Genoa (Italy). Our starting point will be Genoa to the east of Finale Ligure. \r\n\r\nVous avez le choix d'arriver a Nice ( France) ou Genova ( Italie) , a savoir que notre point de depart sera Genova a l' Est de Finale Ligure.
